Our Patient Safety Organization (PSO) offering distinctively combines field-leading clinical and data expertise with software to generate insight and recommendations from safety culture, clinical trigger data, event reporting, and other data as required.
While most PSOs focus on intensively reviewing event reporting data, the Pascal PSO enables partners to (i) combine multiple data types, (ii) prioritize cost-effectively on the most significant issues, and (iii) mature clinically, operationally, and culturally towards using data in closer to real time in a way that is clinically practicable and scientifically robust.
Expert Network
Our Expert Network is one of the most powerful components of our PSO. Our team is led by world renown safety, quality, and risk leaders, such as Dr. Michael Leonard, Dr. Allan Frankel, Jim Conway, Dr. David Classen, Dr. Roger Resar, Terri Frankel, and others. In addition, we work regularly with colleagues in the U.S. and international healthcare communities who bring to bear additional field-leading expertise.
Data Platform
Our web-based platform that powers all of our services is Pascal HealthBench®, a secure enterprise-grade platform with highly secure and clinically customized capabilities that today hosts data from over 700 hospitals and healthcare systems in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Policies & Procedures
Pascal has been developing policies, procedures and an infrastructure in order to support the maintenance and growth of our status as a federally certified PSO. In addition, because we currently use highly sensitive data from EHR and other hospital systems, our security and compliance posture is especially rigorous.

Pascal’s counsel on PSO matters is Epstein, Becker Green and we have continued to invest substantially in our legal infrastructure.
