Measure and act on employee satisfaction data for powerful and complementary insights into cultures of safety
A powerful and actionable complement to the interprofessional dynamics - including teamwork and communication - measured by culture surveys, employee engagement and satisfaction surveys measure individual caregiver beliefs and attitudes that predict the quality of care, adverse events, employee injury, turnover and absenteeism. These leading indicators have tremendous value in measuring and improve clinical, operational and financial outcomes across hospitals.
Educate and Train
Our team of clinical and organizational experts, scientists, and subject matter experts orient, educate, and train staff – from the bedside to the boardroom – in the science of safety and contextualize it within the local environment.
Measure
Pascal assists the hospital or health system partner to obtain high-quality employee engagement survey data by mapping at the unit-level and providing tools for tracking response rate to ensure follow-up. The Job Attitudes Questionnaire (JAQ) is a survey instrument derived from scientifically-validated instruments for assessing employee attitudes specifically in the healthcare setting. Based on a rigorous meta-analysis of the literature, the domains and questions of the JAQ instrument are predictive of employee turnover, absenteeism, burnout, and other HR outcomes – if collected at the work setting level similar to the culture surveys. JAQ reports are tailored to specific organizational levels and are highly actionable, allowing you to both pinpoint problem areas and develop effective intervention strategies.
Analyze
Once the survey has been administered, our powerful web-based analytics platform, HealthBench, makes culture data accessible, interpretable, and actionable. Hospitals and health system partners are able to identify and track culture-driven risk with a range of reports, heat maps, scatter plots, and other interactive tools.
Intervene
Our DeBriefing Tool allows the hospital to develop meaningful action plans at the local level and to track their implementation – a critical step in ensuring change. Our clinical experts are also available to assist hospitals with these critical next steps.
